Sewer Water in Duplex

A Duplex in Troy, MO had water damage in it after a sewer drain had backed up during rains. SERVPRO has different ways they categorize types of flooding. Category 1 is clean water and requires drying however there is usually no need to worry about potential unknown bacteria in the water. Category 2 is anything that is not from a drinkable source of water but is not neccesarily sewage. This is normally something like a washing machine overflow or dishwasher. Category 3 is sewage and dark waters. In this case we had CAT 3 that required the removal and proper cleaning of all areas.
